The Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) at Università Degli Studi di Milano (University of Milan) is hiring at the post-doctoral level in all fields of Economics. Candidates should have completed a doctorate by this date. The Department is interested in applicants with the capability to publish in leading journals. At this stage, an established track record of publications in the top generalist or top field journals is appreciated but not required. The successful candidates shall contribute to the research excellence of the Department. Therefore, candidates are expected to have a well-developed research agenda and be willing to work jointly with resident fellow academics on mutual interest projects.
Teaching is not a mandatory component of this post; however, this activity’s limited opportunity could be arranged if the successful candidates are interested in developing this aspect of their Curriculum Vitae (CV). Net salary is about 21,000€ (24,000€ for candidates holding a non-Italian Ph.D.) per annum. All research activities and most communications within the department are carried out in English. Job start date is flexible. The position is for two years, renewable for another two years.

The selection panel will place great attention to this cover letter.
- Interviews will take place during the Eastern Economic Association (EEA) job market meeting online (December 14 – 18). Shortlisted candidates will present their research in a webinar.
