Application Deadline: 10th June, 2021
The University of Luxembourg, UL and the Luxembourg Institute of Social Economic Research, LISER have created an interdisciplinary Ph.D. study program on experiments, ethics and economics. There are nine openings for fully-funded Ph.D. studies in Luxembourg (up to four years), five located at UL and 4 at LISER. They are inviting highly qualified and motivated applicants for Ph.D. positions within the framework of the new doctoral training unit (DTU) on ‘Experiments, Ethics and Economics’ (3E), funded by the PRIDE scheme of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). The project consists of an interdisciplinary consortium of social scientists who use scientific experiments involving human subjects in their research. The starting date is 1st October 2021.
Besides the focus on experimental research, 3E highlights the tensions between ethics and economics. 3E gathers an inter-disciplinary consortium of economists, psychologists and social scientists (all of which use scientific experiments involving human subjects in their research) from the following five institutions (Names of the core team members at each institution are listed in parentheses)
- Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research – LISER (Francesco Fallucchi, Daniele Nosenzo, Marc Suhrcke, Ludivine Martin, Ernesto Reuben)
