Call for Employment: Two tenure track positions in Economics

The University of Milan is inviting applications for two Tenure Track positions in Economics. Positions are well paid (about 50,000 Euro net per year for foreign residents). The Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) is seeking candidates for a 3-year tenure track position of Senior Assistant Professor in Economics (SECS-P/01). Starting overall gross salary: approximately € 63,600 per year. Remuneration consists of a basic salary of €43,600 and a research fellowship of €20,000 per year financed by Fondazione Pesenti.

Candidates (of any nationality) who have been resident outside Italy for the last 2 years benefit from a six-year tax exemption on 90 percent of the salary (which can be extended up to 13 years). Tenure as Associate Professor will be granted after 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance and holding the Italian National Qualification as Associate Professor. The Starting date is to be mutually agreed, during the academic year 2021/2022. Note that another similar position (SECS-P/02) will be opened soon. Interested candidates can apply to both positions.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must strong research record in any area of Economics.
  • Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics or econometrics and
  • They must have at least three years of post-doctoral research experience, or hold the Italian National Qualification as Associate Professor.
