The W.A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University is inviting applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar in Economics. The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for assisting Dr. Julie Mueller with experimental design and implementation of a choice experiment for a USDA NIFA funded project valuing springs ecosystem services in the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests. In addition, the Postdoctoral Scholar will provide support for recruiting and workshop design for an NSF-funded capacity building workshop advancing fundamental knowledge of social, behavioral and economic responses to pandemics in minority communities. Other duties include teaching undergraduate economics courses and engaging with Economics faculty on additional research projects per the candidate’s interests. Job is open immediately until filled. The appointment is for one year, with the potential for renewal subject to available funds. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.      Â
Eligibility
- An earned PhD in Economics or related field
- Exceptional quantitative skills
- Ability to function as a productive member of a research team
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis of survey data
- Demonstrated experience publishing peer-reviewed research
- Ability to teach undergraduate economics courses
- Experience or interest in engaging with external stakeholders
- Experience or strong interest in collaborative interdisciplinary research
