The Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College is inviting applications for two postdoctoral positions. The successful candidates will become part of a transdisciplinary research group in the area of climate risk management. The positions are available immediately. Each initial appointment will be for a period of one year, with an excellent possibility of renewal for one or more additional years. The successful candidates will co-lead research to improve the characterization and understanding of (i) uncertainties and (ii) system dynamics related to climate risks.
Eligibility
- PhD in related field.
- Experienced with modeling and statistical techniques.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in quantitative research.
Requirements
- Experience in the areas of uncertainty quantification and model diagnostics preferred.
- The candidates will ideally have strong quantitative backgrounds in relevant disciplines (e.g., applied math, operations research, statistics, engineering, or Earth sciences) and interests in collaborating with neighboring disciplines.
