The Natural Resource Economics Program at the University of Florida, Southwest Florida Research and Education Center, Immokalee, FL is inviting applications for a postdoctoral research associate to conduct innovative research in the areas of practice adoption, conservation policy design, and risk management. The focus of this position is on conducting problem-oriented and policy relevant research developing econometric models to understand the economic and behavioral incentives for best management practice and technology adoption and their environmental implications.
The position is a full-time for 1 year with the potential for renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding. Screening will begin on August 8, 2022.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. in agricultural economics, environmental and resource economics, energy economics, operations research or related field
- An outstanding ability to perform thoughtful, critical quantitative analysis
- Experience in computational methods linking economic models with biophysical and hydrological models, econometric methods, survey design, spatial analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- An interest in working with interdisciplinary researchers is preferred
- Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Florida driver’s license.
