University of Exeter is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Prof Neil Adger and Dr Ricardo safra de Campos on the project Linking Climate Change, Habitability and Social Tipping Points: Scenarios for Climate Migration (HABITABLE).
The post will include the design, coordination as well as support during the implementation of a longitudinal quantitative survey repeated across two waves in study sites in Africa and Southeast Asia, and subsequent analysis to produce coefficients on the sensitivity of tipping points in migration behaviour under climate change which will feed into quantitative models and scenarios developed in collaboration with project partners.
Eligibility
- Applicants will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) ) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study
- Ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques including quantitative and multi-method approaches to work within established research programmes
- The successful applicant will be able to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment and collaborate and support interaction across the three research domains and 11 work packages in the project, present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and write research outputs for peer-review publication
