The School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin (UCD) is inviting applications for a Full Professor of Smart and Sustainable Cities (permanent). The School seeks to appoint an outstanding international scholar with a distinguished research record derived from a globally-impactful research programme in the area of smart and sustainable cities.
The University welcomes applications from internationally recognised scholars with prestigious funding awards and exceptional publication records. Candidates with an expertise on one or more of the following, or related areas across the domain of cities and technology, are particularly welcome:
- Urban science
- GIS
- Spatial modelling and visualisation
- Earth observation and urban environmental modelling
Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership in the area
- Establish an internationally recognised smart cities research programme in UCD
- Lead grant applications for prestigious research awards
- Oversee high-quality impactful research
- Develop strategic partnerships and links with industry.
