Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, University of Winconsin-Madison is inviting applications for a PhD student, beginning January 2025. The successful candidate’s research will focus on implementing a data-model-policy fusion framework for water resource management, specifically analyzing water budget to support sustainable water use and sovereignty for tribal communities. The position is fully funded with a competitive stipend and benefits.
Eligibility
- An MSc. or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g hydrology, environmental science, water resources engineering)
- Experience with budget analysis, hydrological modeling, and empirical data collection
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with diverse communities.
