The Department of Marine and Coastal Environmental Science (MCES), College of Marine Sciences & Maritime Studies at Texas A&M University located at the Galveston campus is inviting applications for one full-time, tenure-track faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 1, 2025. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Assistant Professor.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an externally-funded, independent research program with recognition through publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals
- Contribute to MCES undergraduate and graduate degree programs through teaching in their area of expertise and mentoring of students
- Appointees will also be expected to pursue, where mutually beneficial, interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers across the university and to provide professional service to the department, college, and university
Eligibility
- Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in applied or general economics, natural resource economics, environmental economics, public policy, or related majors by the start date
- Must demonstrate the potential for career-long excellence in research, teaching, and service
