The Climate and Energy Strategy Initiative at the School of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research and writing in the area of energy innovation and market transformation, with a particular emphasis on sustainable aviation fuels, corporate sustainability strategy, and other biofuels and renewable energy infrastructure development.
The position is expected to last for 2 years, with the potential for an extension if funding is available. The position includes full faculty benefits including health insurance and retirement. Roles/Responsibilities
- Conduct research encompassing techno-economic assessments, economic analysis, corporate climate strategies, innovation ecosystems, and policy adoption, diffusion, and evaluation.
- Provide editorial assistance for a major academic journal.
- Supervise doctoral and master¿s students.
- Organize workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Produce reports, journal articles, presentations, and other materials to communicate research findings.
Eligibility
- Ph.D. in economics, engineering, public policy, social sciences, or related fields (candidates currently ABD are encouraged to apply).
- Expected to have completed Ph.D. by May 15, 2025
- Background in biofuels, policy analysis, techno-economic analysis, or transportation analysis is a plus.
Requirements
- Proficiency in R, Stata, or other statistical, data analytics, and visualization tools.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
