The University of Reading is inviting applications for the post of Lecturer in International Development. The appointee will contribute to teaching and research in the area of International Development, with associated responsibilities relating to administration and outreach. The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision within the School. Relevant undergraduate programmes in the School include BSc International Development, BSc French & International Development and BSc Spanish & International Development. The School also offers six Masters programmes in International Development, covering a diverse range of topics that include applied development, agriculture, climate change, communication, environmental change and food security. Salary range is £41,526 to £51,034 per annum.

Requirements

  • Ability to and the potential to attract research funding and contribute high quality publications are important
  • Ability to use research experience in the Global South.
  • Expertise to respond to interdisciplinary development challenges, such as poverty and inequality; climate risk and sustainable futures; health; improved communication and innovation systems; participation, inclusion and social change
