The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University is inviting applications for a postdoctoral associate. The positions can be remote (but the home location needs to be in the United States). The position is initially available for one year with a potential renewal for a total of two years. The focus of this person’s research would be on the connection between hurricanes and regional economics with a particular emphasis to understanding the implications of different policy options for low-income households and how the consequences of different policy pathways could be impacted by evolving climate.
Eligibility
- Strong economics skills, ideally with a focus on macroeconomic modeling
- Experience with computable general equilibrium modeling is desirable but not required.
- Ph.D. in economics or a related field.
