University of Zurich is inviting applications for a predoctoral position under thesupervision of Prof. Ulf Zölitz starting in Summer or Fall 2024. This position provides opportunities for aspiring economists to gain research experience and develop their skills in a stimulating and supportive environment. Ongoing and future research projects study education policy, peer effects, parenting styles, child corporal punishment, role model effects in education as well as the causes and consequences of inequality of opportunity in education and society.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of research projects.
• Conduct literature reviews, data collection, data visualization, and statistical
  analysis.
• Prepare research findings for publication in leading academic journals

Eligibility

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Stata.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
