Kansas State University is inviting applications for a 9-month faculty position at either the assistant or associate professor level, tenure track. 60% research and 40% extension. Research and extension programs for this position will focus on the economics of water resources. The anticipated hiring pay range is $105,000-$125,000.

Roles/Responsibilities

Develop and deliver nationally and internationally recognized research programs.
Develop extension programs that address relevant issues for stakeholders and agencies.
Develop and lead collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives with faculty across the university as well as other faculty in Agricultural Economics.
Advise and direct research by graduate students.
Attract grant funds to support research and extension programs.
Create an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality while working in a multi-cultural setting

Eligibility

Assistant Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent in agricultural economics, applied economics, or closely related field. Strong record of academic achievement, desire to develop a renowned research program, excellent written and oral communication skills.
Associate Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent in agricultural economics, applied economics, or closely related field. Strong record of published research, excellent written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

Assistant Professor: Research publications in peer-reviewed journals, experience in writing grant proposals, outreach activities, and demonstrated ability to initiate and advance projects with minimal supervision.
Associate Professor: Established record of excellent research publications in peer-reviewed journals, success in obtaining grant funding, experience developing relevant extension programming, and demonstrated ability to initiate and advance projects with minimal supervision.
