Kansas State University is inviting applications for a 9-month faculty position at either the assistant or associate professor level, tenure track. 60% research and 40% extension. Research and extension programs for this position will focus on the economics of water resources. The anticipated hiring pay range is $105,000-$125,000.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver nationally and internationally recognized research programs.
- Develop extension programs that address relevant issues for stakeholders and agencies.
- Develop and lead collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives with faculty across the university as well as other faculty in Agricultural Economics.
- Advise and direct research by graduate students.
- Attract grant funds to support research and extension programs.
- Create an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality while working in a multi-cultural setting
Eligibility
- Assistant Professor:Â Ph.D. or equivalent in agricultural economics, applied economics, or closely related field. Strong record of academic achievement, desire to develop a renowned research program, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Associate Professor:Â Ph.D. or equivalent in agricultural economics, applied economics, or closely related field. Strong record of published research, excellent written and oral communication skills.
Requirements
- Assistant Professor:Â Research publications in peer-reviewed journals, experience in writing grant proposals, outreach activities, and demonstrated ability to initiate and advance projects with minimal supervision.
- Associate Professor:Â Established record of excellent research publications in peer-reviewed journals, success in obtaining grant funding, experience developing relevant extension programming, and demonstrated ability to initiate and advance projects with minimal supervision.
