The Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics (MPE) at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University is inviting applications for a full professor of Microeconomics. Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels for full professors, with a starting salary in the range of € 5.864 – € 10.309 gross per month (based on a full-time appointment), depending on qualifications and experience. Each year the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
Eligibility
- An internationally acknowledged and respected scholar in the field of Microeconomics, with an excellent research record
- A drive for and experience with education, and are willing to embrace Problem Based Learning (PBL) as a pedagogical principle
- A demonstrated ability to attract funding both internationally and nationally

- A keen eye for identifying, developing, and motivating talent
- A team player and a team builder, showing academic leadership
- A relevant professional and personal network, and the willingness and abilities to expand and use it for the good of the department and school
