Southwick Associates, a market research, economics, and statistics consulting firm specializing in serving the outdoor equipment industry, state fish and wildlife agencies, conservation and sportsmen’s NGOs and supporting businesses, is inviting applications for a Research Analyst for hunting, fishing, target shooting, recreation, and natural resources consulting. The compensation is: full-time salary commensurate with experience, annual profit share, 401K plus company contributions, health benefits reimbursement plan, paid time off including vacation, holidays, and similar.
Roles/Responsibilities
- The professional in this position will conduct quantitative survey and statistical-based analyses.
- Summarizing data to support client’s needs with substantive insights.
- Identifying research opportunities, new methodological approaches and processes.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or business analytics and at least 3-5 years of experience required. Strong analytical skills in the areas of primary and secondary research are required.
- Experience with designing, managing, and executing research projects that include data collection, analysis, and reporting (technical reports, infographics, or presentations).
- Proficient with statistical software (such as R or SPSS) and MS Office suite. Experience with online survey platforms is beneficial.
- Independent self-starter, organized, self-disciplined and able to work individually or as part of a team with limited oversight.
Requirements
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills necessary. Examples of written work are requested.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Hunting/target shooting/fishing experience is preferred.
- All staff work remotely from locations of their choosing all across the U.S. Experience working in this kind of environment is also preferred.
- Occasional travel may be required
