The Department of Economics in American University in Cairo is inviting applications for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Microeconomics, Public Economics and Applied microeconomics for a fixed term four-year appointment, to begin in Fall 2024. The candidate is expected to build a diverse research team in collaboration with local and international participants addressing the manner in which the above sub-disciplines specifically relate to the Middle East and African regions.
Roles/Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching
- Must actively engage in research and service
- Supervise masters’ theses
- Must be willing to teach introductory courses.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a PhD in economics or closely related field from a reputable university, preferably AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited with a record of active research agenda and teaching experience.
