Application Deadline: September 30, 2024
The Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University is inviting applications for a tenure-line, senior (Associate or Full) faculty member in the area of climate policy, in particular an environmental social scientist or climate policy scholar, broadly defined. The successful candidate will join a growing set of faculty at Duke focused on climate as part of Duke’s Climate Commitment. Further, this search complements another search at Sanford, for a junior, tenure-line faculty member in climate with a focus on the intersection between the public and private sectors. Advanced Assistant Professors may be considered but hiring below the rank of Associate Professor is most likely not anticipated. Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses in Sanford’s core curriculum and in their area of specialization, along with electives that increase Sanford and Duke’s climate offerings.
