Baker School, University of Tennessee-Knoxville is inviting applications for an associate Professor of Agricultural & Resource Economics, Economics, Public Policy or related field. This is a 9-month, tenure track position with a 55% research and teaching appointment in the future Baker School for Public Policy and Public Affairs and a 45% research and teaching appointment in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program focusing on environmental and natural resource economics and policy related to the food-energy-water nexus and circular bioeconomy systems
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (2 courses per year) in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the Baker School of Public Policy
- Publish in high quality disciplinary and multidisciplinary journals
- Acquire extramural funding
- Mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students
- Participate in service activities of the Department, School of Public Policy, College, University, and profession.
Eligibility
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Public Policy, or closely related field.
- The successful candidate will have excellent research, quantitative, teaching and communication skills and a willingness to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior research experience in climate-smart agriculture or the food-energy-water nexus.
