The Institute for Policy Integrity at New York University School of Law is inviting applicants for a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship in economics. The ideal candidate should have a focus on policy-oriented research in environmental or energy justice. The candidate will also work on other topics including energy and climate policy, natural resources management, electricity market design, and benefit-cost analysis. Fellows are also encouraged to engage in independent research.
In compliance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. The appointment is for June 2023 to August 2025, with the option for future renewal.
Roles/Responsibilities
The Economic Fellow will collaborate with legal and economic researchers to:
- Prepare policy reports, comments in regulatory proceedings, and journal articles on a variety of issues including energy and environmental justice
- Provide technical and policy assistance to community based organizations and facilitate engagements with communities and partners
- Help draft policy briefs, create training materials, and organize training workshops.
Eligibility
- Ph.D. in economics or a related field by June 2023
- R/Phyton and data skills
- Excellent written communication skills
