West Texas A&M University, a member of The Texas A&M University System, invites applications for the position of Instructor of Agricultural Business & Economics. This is a 9-month Instructor position that reports to the Head of the Department of Agricultural Sciences.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Teach a minimum of 12 hours per long semester
- Teach in one or more of the following areas based on candidate’s qualifications: economics, management, marketing, finance, policy, quantitative methods
- Teaching opportunities include face-to-face and online formats
- Work closely with Departmental and other university staff in the academic advising of undergraduate students
- Serve as a trusted member of the faculty and foster positive relationships with faculty, university and industry partners
- Serve as a role model to all students of the Department of Agricultural Sciences by dressing, speaking and conducting oneself as a professional.
Eligibility
- A M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or closely related agricultural based field of study.
- Show evidence of being able to meet, interact and communicate with students, colleagues, staff, and the agricultural community
- Show evidence of the ability to effectively communicate in both the oral and written forms
- Show evidence of teaching experience either in formal and/or informal settings
