The Division of Public Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for a substantiation-track faculty position at Associate Professor or above rank in the field of science and technology policy. Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. Appointment at Professor rank will be on a substantive basis. Initial appointment at the Associate Professor rank will be made either with substantiation or on a fixed-term contract for a period normally of three years with a gratuity payable upon successful completion of the contract
Eligibility
- Well-qualified and accomplished scholars who hold a relevant PhD degree with extensive teaching and research experience in public administration, management, public policy, and other relevant fields.
- Applicants in the following research areas: (i) Science, Technology and Innovation policy; (ii) Public Policy and Governance for emerging technologies, are especially welcome.
- Proven capacity to interact effectively with government, industry, and commercial sectors would be an advantage.
