The Faculty of Economic Sciences in The University of Warsaw is inviting applications for a Ph.D. programme in Quantitative Psychology and Economics. The education lasts 4 years. It includes obligatory classes (no more than 240 hours in total during the whole period of education) and the implementation of an individual research program, carried out under the supervision of two supervisors. The programme starts 1st October, 2021 and the recruitment fee is 150PLN.

Eligibility

  • A  diploma of completion of the long-cycle  Master’s degree programme or second-cycle programme or an equivalent diploma obtained under separate regulations
  • In the case of candidates pursuing education within the European Higher Education Areas, a declaration that the diploma or certificate of obtaining a Master’s degree should be provided by 17th September, 2021 at the latest
  • In the case of holding a diploma equivalent to the diploma of completion of the long-cycle Master’s degree program or second-cycle program, the candidate shall justify this equivalence.

Application Details

  • Description of research project up to 14,000 characters (spaces included), in English.
  • A resumé covering research interests and activities since 2016, particularly publications, participation in projects and conferences, awards; academic research visits, contact details of recommending scholars.  All scientific activities must be confirmed by document scans.
  • Declaration and evidence that level of English is at least B2 (upper-intermediate).
  • Intended supervisor’s consent, along with the information about the number of Ph.D. students (s)he currently has
  • A photograph
  • A color scan of the passport (only in the case of a candidate, who is not a Polish citizen).
  • Declaration showing doctoral studentship or participation in doctoral studies, and if yes – the title of doctoral dissertation or the research project prepared and first name and surname of the academic tutor or the supervisor.
  • A declaration of familiarity with the content of the Resolution (English version will be available soon on the school’s website), as well as Article 40 and Article 41 of the Code of Administrative Procedure.
  • Master’s or bachelor thesis or some other academic (preferably in English).
