The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is inviting applications for a scholarship which is within the Ph.D. in General Pedagogy, Social Pedagogy, General Didactics and Disciplinary Didactics for a project in collaboration with the faculty of Economics on the topic: “Building blocks as visuospatial skills training for an innovative investment on human capital”. This is a full-time Ph.D. programme and successful candidates can choose between three research areas: General Pedagogy, General Didactics and Disciplinary Didactics and Social Pedagogy. The three research areas share modules on research epistemology and on qualitative and quantitative research methods. During the three years, successful candidates will have to take part in diversified teaching activities: a series of introductory lessons, workshops and seminars. The core of the project is to create a cost-effective, replicable, and sustainable intervention that can help primary school teachers in structuring and consolidating their practices for developing visuospatial skills, especially among girls in early grades.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have obtained 300 ECTS credit points (Master’s degree)
- She/He must have some relevant academic experience in the field of the programme.
- Applicants will also have to demonstrate competence in at least two of the three languages of the Ph.D. programme: Italian, German, English
- She/He must be successful in a public competition
