Program Description
The University College Dublin (UCD) School of Economics runs a thriving Ph.D. program that offers rigorous training and expert supervision. The program is designed to prepare students for top-level jobs in academia, institutions, and the private sector. The program consists of two phases: the MLitt phase (Year 1) and the Ph.D. phase (Years 2-4). The MLitt phase is dedicated to coursework, which equips students to carry out independent research. During the Ph.D. phase, students carry out independent research. Each student is assigned a supervisor based on mutual interest as well as a Research Studies Panel, consisting of two additional faculty members. More details on the MLitt/Ph.D. program can be found in the program guidelines here.
Applications for the program MLitt/Ph.D. program opened on the 1st of November 2020 and will close in August 2021.
