Professorship Behavioral Aspects of Environmental Planning at the Institute of Environmental Planning invites applications for the position of a PhD researcher in Environmental Behavior, Policy and Planning starting March 15, 2022. The post has a duration of three years.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Research in the innovative field of “Behavioral Environmental Planning”, which analyses human decision-making at the nexus of the social, natural and built environments
- Contribution to the teaching activities of the professorship
- Participation in, and support of, activities of the professorship particularly in the organisation of the mobileLab, with which students and researchers will analyse behaviour of relevant decision-makers in the field
Requirements
- Scientific university degree (M.Sc.] in Economics or Psychology
- Very good English language skills
- Experience with data analysis
- Interest in interdisciplinary cooperation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in behavioural questions related to land use, spatial development and/or environmental policy and regulations
Eligibility
- Prior knowledge about or experience with economic or psychological experiments
- Experience with lab-in-the-field and field experiments
- Good German language skills
- Interest in transdisciplinary work and/or experience in working with diverse stakeholders
