Apply for a PhD Position in University of Queensland

The School of Economics at the University of Queensland, Australia is inviting applications for a funded PhD position to work on a project combining experimental and environmental economics. This Earmarked Scholarship project is aligned with a recently awarded Category 1 research grant. It offers you the opportunity to work with leading researchers and contribute to large projects of national significance.

This project aims to evaluate pollution reduction mechanisms such as Australia’s Emissions Reduction Fund. The project will use a combination of state-of-the-art economic theory and/or experimental economic methods to investigate how to redesign the regulatory system to deliver better environmental outcomes for less public funds.

Eligibility

  • A working knowledge of microeconomics is beneficial
  • A background or knowledge of experimental and environmental economics is highly desirable.
