Florida State University’s Department of Economics is currently accepting applications to the Ph.D. program for Fall 2022. Selected students are usually funded by a generous package that includes a stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance subsidy. Students from Latin American and the Caribbean are also offered special scholarships.
The Economics doctoral program at Florida State University prepares students for a variety of careers in academia, government, and the private sector. Our students work closely with faculty to engage in cutting-edge research. The department also maintains a strong focus on microeconomics and applied microeconomics. Among the fields offered include Applied Econometrics, Experimental Economics, Financial and Monetary Economics, Industrial Organization, International Economics, Labor Economics, Law and Economics, Population Economics, Public Economics, and Urban Economics.
