The National University of Ireland, Galway is inviting applications for qualified candidates for a full-time fixed term position as a postdoctoral researcher with the Economics Discipline. This position is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s Competitive Research Funding Programme as part of the ERA-NET FOSC SUSFOOD2 call. The position is available immediately for a duration of approximately three years. The salary range is €39,522 – €41,941 (per annum pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts). The position is available immediately.
Eligibility
- PhD in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Psychology or related discipline
- Knowledge of experimental / behavioural economics
- Evidence of research activity (publications) and/or future scholarly output (working papers, etc.)
- An understanding of the operational requirements for a successful research project
Requirements
- Experience in the design of experimental auctions
- Good understanding of the agricultural sector and climate change
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation, etc.)
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including a proven ability to work to deadlines
