The University of Sydney is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The full-time position will run for two years. The Base Salary ranges from $110,856-$131,639, including 17% superannuation. The selected candidate will be based in the School of Economics supporting a research program on the cognitive science of disadvantage which encompasses a broad range of issues in neuroeconomics, behavioural economics and cognitive psychology including mental health, child health and development; education; sleep disorders; youths and risky behaviour. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in the School of Economics and elsewhere within the center to provide leadership and foster excellence in research, and further the goals of the Centre. This position is supervised by Professor Agnieszka Tymula.
Eligibility
- Must have completed a PhD in Economics, Neuroscience, or Psychology
- Should possess evidence of a strong research interest in applied behavioural economics and experimental methods in relation to understanding social and economic disadvantage
- evidence of the ability to conduct independent research and assume responsibility for the development and completion of research papers
- Must have demonstrated ability to work as part of a research team, and work with other members of staff to meet the aims and deadlines of a project
- Must have a track record in research and writing and the potential to develop further research expertise through various projects
