Description
University of Wyoming’s Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources is searching for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of Environment and Natural Resource Economics, with an interest in natural capital accounting, ecosystem service modeling, and applied research in the areas of natural resource economics, policy, and management.
Responsibilities include building a research program that leads to publications in high-quality journals, collaborating with a diverse and interdisciplinary team of researchers in the Haub School, and engaging with an in-house conservation engagement specialist to support natural resource management and policy in the region.
Eligibility
- A Doctoral Degree is required for this position. However, consideration will be given to applicants that are currently pursuing their Doctoral Degree and will complete the degree prior to starting work.
- Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field
- Strong analytical, research, statistical, and quantitative skills.
- Ability to write clearly, professionally, and persuasively.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in R programming.
- Strong quantitative economic modeling skills.
- Potential to support project management and the mentoring of graduate students.
- Ability to lead aspects of a team-based interdisciplinary project.
