UNC Health is inviting applications for four administrative fellowship programs at locations throughout our system, each granting fellows a front-row seat to the inner workings of a nationally recognized healthcare system.
Candidates may apply to one or more of our fellowship programs by submitting information through UNC Health’s online job portal or by clicking the links below. Letters of recommendation or transcripts that need to be sent directly to the fellowship program can be emailed to the current fellow(s) of the respective program(s).
Eligibility
- Administrative fellowships are paid appointments open to applicants who will have completed or may be pursuing a master’s degree program in healthcare management and/or related disciplines.
- Applicants must complete their degree, or the coursework for their degree if required to complete a fellowship to graduate, prior to starting the fellowship.
Fellowships Include
- UNC Health System Fellowship: The UNC Health System Fellowship offers a unique corporate-track program focused on enterprise-level services that guide and support all system entities. The fellow will be exposed to a variety of System Enterprise Services, supporting system-wide strategy, operations, finance, and capacity management through the fellow’s core rotations. In addition, the fellow will have the opportunity to explore other personal interests through elective rotations such as HR and talent planning, supply chain, virtual care, real estate and development, and beyond.
- UNC Hospitals Fellowship: The Todd L. Peterson Post-Graduate Fellowship program has a 40+ year history of preparing tomorrow’s healthcare leaders. Named after Todd L. Peterson, retired Chief Operating Officer, and given this history and tradition, the purpose of the fellowship is well understood and valued by the leadership team and the organization at large. This fellowship is offered as a two-year appointment.
- UNC Health Rex Fellowship: The UNC Health Rex Administrative Fellowship offers a dynamic, immersive, and personalized one-year experience designed to launch the next generation of healthcare leaders. As a Fellow at UNC Health Rex, you will gain comprehensive exposure to a high-performing, 660-bed community hospital as part of one of the leading health systems in the nation.
- UNC Physicians Network Fellowship: UNC Physicians Network (UNCPN), a UNC Health System owned entity, provides management services for more than 100 ambulatory, primary, and specialty care practices which support our system partners in 15 North Carolina counties. Through operational support that helps each practice provide complete care to patients, UNCPN makes the expertise and empathy of the UNC Health System accessible to more of North Carolina.
