Wageningen University and Research is inviting applications for the Africa Scholarship Programme. The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) offers talented and motivated students from Africa the unique opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University and to support capacity building in Africa. The candidate’s MSc programme must have started on 1 September 2025.
Components of the Scholarship
- Travel to and from The Netherlands
- Living allowance for the duration of the programme (24 months)
- Tuition fee coverage for the duration of the programme (24 months)
- Visa costs and costs for health insurance
Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of an African country
- Must have applied for one of the master’s programmes of Wageningen University & Research before the given deadline. Please see: How can I apply for the master’s programme?
- Must be unconditionally admitted to this MSc programme
- Must be an excellent student with a First class honours degree and a GPA of 80% or higher in a bachelor’s degree
- Preference is given to students who have not obtained a master’s degree yet.

- Upload documents in the Osiris application portal
- Wait for assessment of documents in two weeks
- Recieve decision on admission within 6 to 8 weeks of application
