The Centre for Budget and Policy Studies is inviting applications for the second cohort of Research Fellows for 2024 – 2025. The Fellowship aims to help scholars develop research skills in the areas of Education, Gender, Governance, Health & Nutrition, Public Finance, Livelihoods and Social Security.
The fellows will work in the CBPS office located in Bengaluru and will work with the research staff to gain valuable experience, support, and learnings in a collegial and academically rigorous environment which includes in-house talks, seminars as well as other public events. With the help of a mentor, the fellowship will allow scholars to be part of the ongoing research projects in an area of interest to the scholar. The fellowship does not provide funds for housing, transportation, or any other financial support.
The Fellowship includes:
- Opportunities to work with professionals in research and public policy
- A monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000
- Access to CBPS library, in-house workshops and talks
- Field visit opportunities (related to projects)
- Opportunities to publish
Eligibility
- Scholars who have recently completed their Bachelor’s or are in the final year of their undergraduate programme
- Scholars from historically underrepresented groups, including those underrepresented in terms of class, caste, gender, religion, linguistic affiliation, and first-generation scholars.
- Scholars from various disciplines and methodological approaches
