Postdoctoral Position
The Maastricht University – Center of Neuroeconomics (MU-CEN) and the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics (MPE) at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University offer a 4-year full-time Postdoctoral position in Neuroeconomics/Decision Neuroscience.
The postdoctoral position is offered for a four-year period and should commence at the latest in January 2023. The salary is competitive and ranges (depending on qualifications and experience) from € 3.974 to € 4.391 gross per month (based on a full-time appointment, 12 monthly payments).
Eligibility
- Ph.D. in (neuro)economics, neuroscience, psychology, or a related discipline or a related field (completed or nearly completed)
- Programming experience (R, Matlab, Python, E-prime, etc.)
- Experience in human neuroimaging (fMRI) including experiment set-up and data analysis is a pre
- Experience in EEG, brain stimulation (tDCS, TMS), and/or computational modeling is a plus
- Good competence in written and spoken English
- Strong research orientation and multi-/interdisciplinary orientation

PhD Position
The Maastricht University – Center of Neuroeconomics (MU-CEN) and the Department of Microeconomics and Public Economics (MPE) at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) of Maastricht University offer a 4-year full-time PhD position in Behavioral & Experimental Economics/Neuroeconomics.
The salary will be according to standard salary levels for PhD students starting with a salary of €2.541.- with a yearly growth to €3.247.- gross per month (based on a full-time appointment, 12 monthly payments).
Eligibility
- Completed Master’s degree (MSc or MPhil) in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field (at the latest by January 2023)
- Graduation from a two-year (Research) Master’s program (120 ECTS) is preferred
- Experience with designing experiments, data analysis and programming are an advantage
- Good competence in written and spoken English
- Strong research orientation and multi-/interdisciplinary orientation
