Call for Application: Ruhr Graduate School in Economics

Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is inviting applications for its structured PhD program, workshops, courses, and conferences for early-career researchers. During the program, students can participate in numerous workshops, research seminar, short-courses, conferences, and soft-skills seminars organized by RGS Econ or its cooperating partners. Well qualified and highly motivated students finish our program in 3-4 years, with a mean duration of currently 4.7 years.

There are no tuition fees. Accepted students generally receive financing to cover living expenses, usually in the form of scholarships of €1500 per month or in the form of teaching or research assistantships financed by the RWI, the universities, or via third-party funding.

Eligibility

Applicants should have an excellent academic record and should have obtained or expect to complete a Master’s degree in Economics or related disciplines, such as business administration, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering etc, before the start or our program in October
A strong background in quantitative and analytical methods
Successful applicants display both passion and ability for conducting research
A “Test of English as a Foreign Language” (TOEFL) or any other internationally accepted English language test with excellent results is highly recommended for all applicants
There is no age restriction
