The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) is inviting applications for visiting researchers to join the Visiting Researchers Program in winter semester 2025/26. The program is intended for researchers from the fields of economic sociology and comparative and international political economy and offers stays generally ranging from two to twelve months. Applications are welcome from professors and postdoctoral and doctoral researchers based in Germany or abroad. The applicant’s intended research project should relate to the MPIfG’s research program and ongoing projects at the Institute.
As a visiting researcher, the applicant will need their own funding and is asked to provide a funding plan for their stay. If the application is successful, the applicant will receive a letter of invitation that can be usedto approach funding institutions.
